Chicken Walker Style

If you've seen the HP Commercial with the baby in the walker, you have an idea of what it's like in our house...times two. Animals and toes/feet/ankles are in constant danger. Alex and Tony regularly play bumper cars, and occasionally play Chicken at the narrowest part of our house.

Pumpkin Patch 2010

We went to Irvine Regional Park's pumpkin patch today with the KFujs and Iowans (Is that even a word?). The trip was clearly for the moms and we have no problem admitting that. The kids couldn't have cared less, and the dads were troopers and humored their lovely wives ;)  The best part is that I dusted off my nice camera and actually took a bunch of pictures. I'm rather rusty, but I got a few decent ones.

Tooth Count

5th Tooth for Tony

Lower left has cut through...upper right is seriously bulging. Looks like we're going to have a few more nights with lots of waking up, but at least we're getting something to show for it. Poor kid has teeth popping up like weeds right now!

Ham

Alex loves the camera, especially my phone's camera. You can see his bottom 2 teeth in this picture, but he cut one of his top two this week and the 4th one is close. Good thing since his buddy Kyle is about to catch up!

Late But Worth the Wait

After having Chiari with severe neck and back pain, recovering from brain surgery, spending many days on bedrest throughout multiple rounds of IVF, months on bed rest while pregnant, weeks recovering from a c-section and sleep deprivation from twinfants, we decided that now was finally a good time to splurge and get a Sleep Number bed. Yep, now that I'm spending less time in bed, we got a fancy bed.

While it was just delivered today, we have spent a good amount of time in it already watching TV and letting the boys play on it. It was worth every penny and I'm very glad we got the bells and whistles (auto-fill/memory settings, temperature regulation, and the super nice pillows with the temperature regulating pillow protectors). The service has been awesome and our bed was delivered in a week - half the time they told us!

If anyone would like to come take a nap, we'll let you find your Sleep Number. In case you're wondering, I'm a 35 and Striker is a 40.

Lab Lovers

This big guy showed up on my porch today. He's currently hanging out in our backyard until we reunite him with his owners. He's very well trained and seems to be on the older side.

Haven't Blogged All Week!

We didn't do a whole lot this week and when we did, I forgot to take pictures. Fortunately, I never get tired of sleeping baby pictures. :)

Sunday Funday!

Today was H.O.T. What the heck happened to the nice Fall weather?!

We went to our multiples club's Halloween Party today and I didn't take a single picture...insanity, I know. I know there is one of the 4 of us, I just don't have a copy of it yet.

In fact, this is the only picture I took all day...Alex was sitting on the bleachers at Striker's softball game, snacking on some Goldfish, looking like a toddler instead of my baby. Sniffle.

Happy 10 Month Birthday

What the heck happened to my little babies?!

Completely in 18 Month clothes...Alex is going to be in size 5 diapers by the end of the month. Alex weighs 24 pounds, Tony weighs 22. Still need to get a growth chart up...I've decided to make one...wish me luck.

Alex

• Still only has 2 teeth but the 3rd and 4th are so close and the 5th seems to be coming soon as well
• Started to "walk" when holding his hands
• Can get anywhere he wants to go by pushing himself backwards and rolling
• Is almost able to pull himself up and LOVES to stand
• FINALLY started eating more solid foods instead of just purees
• Loves hanging upside down, bouncing, and when Grandma comes over

Tony

• Has 4 teeth, but has at least 1 more close to poking through
• Waves, but only when I'm not really paying attention...he'll never repeat once I catch him
• Is getting really good at pulling himself up and getting pretty brave while cruising
• Has developed a fear of the ice maker and similar loud noises...not sure where that came from
• Would rather eat regular food than baby food...starting to share more of my food with him...the more flavor the better!
• Loves animals, bath time, and Daddy coming home from work
• Got his first fat lip this week as well as our first bloody injury...very minor and not bad for making it almost 10 months!

Tony's Chompers

Tony's top 2 teeth cut through today, bringing his total tooth count to FOUR!

In typical Tony fashion, the drool turned back on and he woke up several times a night for a week or two. This afternoon I was playing with him, flipped him upside down, and saw the pearly whites!

Baby Steps

Yesterday Alex stood hands free and unassisted for several seconds. He was so nonchalant about it that it took us a second to realize it. Later he stood facing me, holding on with one hand, and I could see the wheels turning as he tried to figure out how to get to me.

Not to be out done, Mr Practice Makes Perfect Tony has been pulling himself up, standing while holding on with one hand, and running when assisted.

Today, Alex successfully ate several goldfish crackers without gagging or requiring that I smoosh them first. Yippee!

Oktoberfest 2010

We polka'd, drank beer, ate a pretzel, and had lots of fun! Thanks to my mom and Auntie B for staying with Alex and Tony at our house. Next time I need to put a sign on the apron of my dirndl that reads "Grandma and Auntie B are staying with them at our house". You can guess the question ;)
