Bird Watchers

My cats are indoor cats. We have a LOT of birds in our neighborhood. They make quite a racket every morning, as my sister can attest to, having spent the night Sunday night.

Every morning the cats force their way under our blinds to watch the birds when they hear the chirping.

In an effort to avoid total destruction and the noise of the blinds hitting the window or windowsill, we started pulling up the blinds. How cute are they?! It is their lifelong dream to catch a birdie.

Spelling Bee

The hubby and I are big geeks, surprise I know. While watching the Scripps National Spelling Bee tonight, we saw Serena Skye Laine-Lobsinger get a word wrong that I couldn't even pronounce, but we figured she was still so good at spelling because she always had to spell her entire name.

Note to the future grandparents: our children's first names will be something they won't have to spell since they'll always have to spell their last name. :)

Gummy Bears

Here's the almost 9 week ultrasound (2 days early). By the time the Queen gets back from Europe, these kids will be blogging!

Baby A is on the left. He's in a better position to be more photogenic than Baby B, so let's not hold it against him or her. My sister is referring to A as Fatty Fatty Fat Fat because he/she is slightly larger with a slightly faster heartbeat.

Things I realized today:
1) I will be a weeker, as in my babies are 8 weeks old. KT, I am sorry for mocking you.
2) I am going to be a total mom. And really, how can I not with twins? KT, I am sorry for mocking you.
3) There will be a large number of pg posts. Blogging is the new baby book. Though my sister got me a cool pregnancy journal, blogging gives me more room to write and lets me record your comments with zero effort. I use the journal too for all the details no one wants to know. KT, I am sorry for mocking you.
4) I still believe that I can fit as much into my Pilot as KT can fit in an Odyssey. She will get one eventually, I will not!
5) I will be posting belly pictures, just not until 12 weeks.

Going Public

I'm 8 1/2 weeks pregnant with TWINS!

Their (37 week) due date is right around Striker's birthday (December 9th) - talk about a great (30th) birthday present!

We were going to try and not go "public" for another 3 1/2 weeks, but after a congratulations comment on my Facebook wall this morning, I sort of felt it was time. ;)

This ultrasound picture is from almost 2 weeks ago when we saw/heard their heartbeats. We have another ultrasound this week!

I will now provide this disclaimer: I sleep/nap as often as possible right now. Except that I wake up every night sometime between 2:30 and 4:30, so this will probably be a regular time for blogging. The good news is that I have a whole lot more material, now that being pg is public knowledge. :)
