Kim, blogging is a public service but in a different way. It's an outlet to talk about life, TV shows, people, etc. Yelping is strictly an outlet for reviews. Although people may "blog" about that as well, some people just prefer to "yelp". ;-)
My real answer would be...ask Rachel why she chose to yelp instead of blog. I really don't know. But I'm glad she did.

Rachel is not a traitor. She still loves you, Jenn. Plus, yelping is not blogging. It's doing a public service by writing reviews. Really.
Looks a lot like a blog to me!
To Judy:
And blogging is not a public service?
Kim
Say it isn't so!
Oh Rachel, your sins shall be yelled from the roof tops
Now that I have checked out Rachel's yelp page in detail I have many comments and may need to host my own blog on this topic:
Funniest Line: If it is possible to give 0 stars, I would give it to this place. Not only is the food horrible- but the service is terrible.
I am also a little disappointed that my blog isn't listed as her second favorite website.....I will assume it is the first.
oh rahcel, we would love to have you as a regular in our blogging group.
